This event is 21 and over Dear ComradeWebsiteFacebookLinksDear Comrade's music is as diverse as the personal histories and influences of it's musicians. The founding member, Arthur Kremer, started his music career as the drummer with the popular, indie-rock band Stellastarr*. Several years ago, Kremer began writing solo material, singing and playing guitar. After developing a significant body of work and previewing this work at open mics around Brooklyn, NY., he was joined by guitarist Emmett Aiello. Aiello's raw sound, influenced mostly by American roots music, stood in stark contrast to Kremer's moody and melodic writing. However, Aiello's perceptive ear and keen musical sensibilities dovetailed nicely with Arthur's desire to create a varying tone from song to song. Once they had played together for a few months, they auditioned several drummers before finding Dennis Lehrer. Most recently Dennis had been the drummer in Autodrone, an alternative/experimental rock group with several albums and tours under their belt. Dennis' stylistic versatility and quick read of the DC sound made him an obvious choice. At the start of 2012, DC has added Phil Zuckerman on Bass. The Dear Comrade sound has been described as "eclectically rich" and "cinematic", a testament to the diversity of the band members as well as the city in which they live. Recently the band released it's first LP, All Wisdom is Gone, and is currently playing shows around New York City. Bear SuccessWebsiteFacebookTwitterLinksBear Success is an instrumental progressive/ambient/post rock band from Bayport-Blue Point, Long Island. Food On YouFood On You celebrates the release of their debut CD The Early Year, songs of early parenthood, often inappropriate for children. Featuring Papa Dave Benjoya, Papa John Sharples, Biological-Clock-Ticking Tim Simmonds, Too-Young-to-Think-of-Such-Things Phil Glauberzon, No-Thank-You Dann Baker, and a giant taco.
